Meet some of our Students and their Art Work

Art students at Edgewood College come from a wide variety of places, backgrounds, training, and majors, but they have three traits in common: innate creativity, dedication, and openness to learn new things. They volunteer and work across campus and the community and congregate in the beautiful facilities of The Stream to spend extra time in the studios. We have had several students switch to an art major after discovering–or rediscovering–their talent and passion in one of our general education courses. Graphic Design, Art and Design Teaching, and Art Therapy students complete field experiences to expand their portfolios and professional readiness.

All Art Department majors and minors have the opportunity for independent study, internships, and community engagement tailored to their needs and ambitions. Art history is tied into all majors to deepen connections and perspective while studio courses develop technical skills and conceptualization.
